Cacace Receives Hero's Welcome After Boxing Triumph.

Hundreds of fans gathered to welcome back the "Andytown Apache" after his recent world title victory in boxing.

Anthony Cacace caused a major upset in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night by defeating Joe Cordina in the eighth round to claim the IBF super featherweight title.

The 35-year-old fought on the undercard of the Tyson Fury-Oleksandr Usyk heavyweight title bout.

Upon returning to Andersonstown, West Belfast, Cacace was greeted with cheers and chants of "Anto, Anto Cacace" on Monday evening.

"I'm completely shocked, I can't believe it, I swear to God," said Cacace to BBC News NI. "I was just in bed two minutes ago, I didn't know what was going on. Can't believe it, absolutely shocking, my whole life has changed."

Reflecting on his victory after landing in Belfast, Cacace expressed his immense pride in his accomplishment. "Before I stepped into the ring, I was looking at pictures of my children, saying my prayers - that gave me the motivation."

He also shared his ambition, saying, "I want to collect all the belts. If I can win this one, I can win them all."

Young boxers Harry Hassin and Jerry McCann eagerly awaited the champion boxer's return, noting that his performance inspired them to strive for greatness.
