Alisson's Availability for Bournemouth Clash in Question.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has stated that goalkeeper Alisson Becker is uncertain for Saturday's Premier League match against Bournemouth due to a muscle injury.

Alisson has been a key player for Liverpool, featuring in all four league matches this season and playing in their Champions League victory at AC Milan on Tuesday. He also represented Brazil in the Copa America this summer and during the recent international break.

When discussing the busy fixture schedule ahead of the Milan match, the 31-year-old remarked that "nobody asks the players" about their workload.

"It’s uncertain if Alisson will be able to train on Friday," said Slot. "If he can’t, he likely won’t play. We’ll have to wait and see."

During a portion of training open to certain media, Alisson was not visible, with Caoimhin Kelleher and Vitezslav Jaros taking turns in goal. Kelleher filled in for Alisson last season when he missed over two months due to injury.

Slot explained, "Alisson has a minor muscle issue, and we're unsure if this match is too soon for him. He didn’t sustain it during the Milan game; it developed a bit earlier, but he felt it more after that match."

"We’ll see if he’s fit to play on Saturday or if we need to give him a few more days."

Liverpool faced a home defeat against Nottingham Forest after the international break, but they bounced back with a win over Milan. They will host Bournemouth in the third match of a demanding stretch of seven games in 22 days, yet Slot remains unfazed by the packed schedule.

"The Premier League has four more games than the Eredivisie, plus the League Cup; that’s the main difference," Slot noted. "But the biggest contrast is that we play during Christmas and New Year in the Premier League."

He emphasized that the overall strength and quality of the Premier League, particularly teams like Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth, are significantly higher than those in the Eredivisie, especially teams not competing for top-six spots.
