Wales Center George North Suffers Achilles Tendon Rupture in Last Test Match.

George North has confirmed that he suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon during his last Test match playing for Wales.

Last weekend, George North, a British and Irish Lions back, was carried off the field during Wales' 24-21 home loss against Italy in the 79th minute.

It's expected that the 31-year-old will require several months to recover, making it unlikely for him to play for Ospreys again before joining French club Provence in the summer.

Sharing his thoughts on social media, North mentioned, "Not everyone gets the fairytale ending. A ruptured Achilles wasn't the way I wanted to bow out of International rugby. Still, I have loved every second. On the recovery train now."
