Monaco Stuns 10-Man Barcelona in Shocking Upset.

Nigerian striker George Ilenikhena made a memorable Champions League debut by scoring in a thrilling upset as Monaco took down 10-man Barcelona.

Ilenikhena’s goal not only showcased his talent but also marked a pivotal moment in the match, highlighting Monaco's resilience and determination against a formidable opponent.

In the 71st minute, 18-year-old substitute George Ilenikhena made an impact on his Champions League debut, sprinting onto a long ball from Vanderson and firing it past Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

The match turned early when Eric Garcia received a straight red card just 10 minutes in for bringing down Takumi Minamino as the last man after a misplayed pass from ter Stegen.

Monaco quickly capitalized on the advantage, with Maghnes Akliouche slotting home the opening goal while ter Stegen was caught off guard.

Barcelona's young talent Lamine Yamal equalized with his first Champions League goal, skillfully cutting inside to drive a low shot into the corner.

However, Ilenikhena's goal—his first since joining from Royal Antwerp—sealed Barcelona's fate with a stunning upset.

Vanderson nearly added another with a shot that was pushed wide, while Minamino's effort hit the crossbar after a deflection.
