Shohei Ohtani made baseball history as the first player ever to hit 50 home runs and steal 50 bases in a single season.
Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani etched his name in baseball history by stealing third base in the first inning against the Miami Marlins, setting up the first half of his remarkable 50-50 milestone.
Ohtani followed that up with his 51st steal of the season before launching his 49th home run in the sixth inning, tying Shawn Green’s 2001 Dodgers' record for most home runs in a season.
But Ohtani wasn’t done—he crushed his 50th homer in the very next inning, becoming the first player ever to achieve the incredible 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases feat in MLB history.
