McCann Triumphs in Strawweight Debut: Victory Over Belbita at UFC.

In a remarkable debut at strawweight, Britain's Molly McCann secured a first-round submission victory over Diana Belbita at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, showcasing a dominant performance.

33 years old, Molly McCann sealed a triumphant return to form by submitting Diana Belbita with an armbar, just one second before the end of the round. 

This victory marked McCann's debut in the strawweight division after contemplating retirement following setbacks in her last two fights.

Expressing her elation, McCann stated, "It feels amazing [to be at strawweight]. I'd like to take this time to apologize to the UFC, myself, and my fans for not being at the right weight and for my last two performances. But today I forgive myself."

Having previously competed in the flyweight category throughout her 12-bout UFC career, McCann's decision to move to strawweight proved successful, bringing her total wins to seven in the promotion. 

The challenges faced in her last two fights had prompted her to reassess her future in the sport.
