World Champion Dixon Set to Clash with Briton Harper.

Rhiannon Dixon, the reigning lightweight world champion, is set to defend her WBO title against fellow Briton Terri Harper at Manchester's Co-op Live arena on Saturday, August 24th.

Rhiannon Dixon, aged 29 and undefeated in 10 professional fights, is preparing for her first title defense since claiming the belt from Karen Elizabeth Carabajal in April.

Terri Harper, aged 27 and currently holding the WBA light-middleweight title, is a former super-featherweight champion aiming to become a three-weight champion in their upcoming August bout.

"Dixon is someone I truly respect; she carries herself with humility and lacks any ego," said Harper.

Terri Harper from Doncaster boasts a record of 14 wins, 2 draws, and 2 losses, including a recent defeat to WBO welterweight champion Sandy Ryan in March.

"My main focus now is to secure a convincing victory and reclaim my position at the top," Harper stated. She will move down to lightweight to challenge Dixon.

The event marks the inaugural boxing event at Manchester's newly constructed 23,500-seat arena.

The headline bout features Chorley's Jack Catterall, a light-welterweight, against American Regis Prograis.
