Triathlon Triumph: GB's Yee Claims Gold in Thrilling Sprint Finish.

Great Britain's Alex Yee delivered an incredible sprint finish to win Olympic triathlon gold, while Beth Potter secured bronze in the women's race.

On the banks of the River Seine at Paris 2024, Alex Yee delivered a breathtaking performance to upgrade his Tokyo silver to Olympic gold in the triathlon.

In a nail-biting finish, Yee overhauled rival Hayden Wilde in the final stages of the race.

Yee, 26, crossed the finish line after one hour, 43 minutes, and 33 seconds, six seconds ahead of New Zealand's Wilde. Wilde, who had won bronze three years ago, seemed poised for victory with a 15-second lead during the run.

However, Yee's impeccable timing and skillful execution, aided by a stellar bike leg from teammate Sam Dickinson, who sacrificed his own race to support Yee's bid, secured the gold.

This dramatic triumph added another thrilling chapter to the Olympic story.
