Tragic Loss: Boxing Champion Andrew Tham Passed Away Following Motorcycle Accident.

It's a sad day for the boxing world as we mourn the loss of Andrew Tham, a 28-year-old champion boxer who tragically passed away three days after a devastating motorbike accident.

The accident occurred around 6:50 pm on Thursday on the B8039 near Lenziemill Road in Cumbernauld when Andrew collided with a Hyundai Tucson car.

Andrew was known not just for his boxing prowess but also for his resilience and determination in and out of the ring. His untimely departure has left a void in the hearts of many, and he will be remembered for his passion for the sport and his indomitable spirit.

Andrew Tham, riding a Kawasaki motorcycle, was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow after the accident. Sadly, he passed away on Sunday.

Tham, a resident of Cumbernauld, was not just a boxer but also the Scottish featherweight champion since September last year. Many have paid heartfelt tributes to him following his untimely death.

Andrew Tham, who had his boxing debut in March 2019, trained diligently at Kilsyth Golden Gloves Gym in North Lanarkshire, showcasing his dedication to the sport.

In his recent match against George Stewart last month, although he didn't win, he displayed his skill and determination, despite not putting his Scottish title on the line.

George Stewart, expressing his devastation over Andrew's passing, described him as a true warrior and an honor to share the ring with.
