Rwanda's Protest Leads to Dynamo's Withdrawal from Basketball Africa League.

Dynamo, the Burundian club, has been pulled out of the Basketball Africa League due to their refusal to sport jerseys featuring the 'Visit Rwanda' logo.

The team initially covered the message during their first game in the Kalahari Conference in Pretoria but decided to forfeit their following two matches. This decision comes amidst rising political tensions between Burundi and Rwanda.

In January, Burundi closed its borders with Rwanda, alleging that its neighbor was funding rebel attacks. President Evariste Ndayishimiye accused Rwanda's government, under Paul Kagame, of supporting the Red Tabara rebel group after a militia attack in December resulted in 20 fatalities.

Despite President Kagame's denial of the accusations, Burundi's government has criticized him as a "bad neighbor."

Amidst this backdrop, Basketball Africa League (BAL) President Amadou Gallo Fall stated that the league had no choice but to expel the club for failing to adhere to the league's rules regarding jersey and uniform regulations.
