Canadian team officials admitted to using drones before the Paris Olympics, which could cast a shadow over their women's gold medal from Tokyo 2020, they announced on Friday.

The story took a dramatic turn when Bev Priestman was removed as the head coach for Canada's women's team after a drone was spotted flying over New Zealand's training session on Monday. 

Priestman, 38, was described by the head of Canada's Olympic committee as "highly likely" to have known about the incident, leading to her suspension by Canada Soccer.
