India is aiming to surpass its record of seven medals from the Tokyo 2020 Games, its best ever in a single Summer Olympics. To achieve this, the country has sent a squad of 117 athletes to compete in 16 out of the 32 sports at the Paris Olympics.

Among India's top medal hopes are javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, shuttlers PV Sindhu, Chirag Shetty, and Satwik Sairaj Rankireddy, the Indian hockey team, shooter Sift Kaur Samra, and boxers Nikhat Zareen and Lovlina Borgohain, along with wrestler Vinesh Phogat. These standout athletes are poised to make a splash and help India reach new heights in Paris.
