Rookie Brian Robinson back in the training ground after three weeks of medical rest.

Commanders rookie Brian Robinson Jr. took another inspiring step forward on his road to recovery. He joined the training camp less than three weeks after being shot during a suspected armed robbery attempt.

Robinson was shot twice in the leg on Aug. 28, returned to the practice field for the first time since in the incident. He was lucky with where he was struck by the bullets, which is beneficial to his return timeline.

According to the medical reports, the bullet that struck Robinson in the knee missed ligaments, tendons and bone in the joint. It did not cause any kind of massive damage in the knee.

Washington placed Robinson on the Non-Football Injury (NFI) list, which makes him unavailable for at least the first four weeks of the regular season.
