PV Sindhu, Kidambi Srikanth, and HS Prannoy advanced into the quarterfinal round of the Australia Open Badminton.

Top Indian shuttlers PV Sindhu, Kidambi Srikanth, and HS Prannoy displayed sensational performances and comfortably progressed into the quarterfinals of the ongoing Australia Open badminton BWF Super 500 tournament in Sydney.

The double Olympic medallist PV Sindhu advanced into the quarterfinals after smashing out compatriot Aakarshi Kashyap by 21-14 21-10 in the second-round women's singles match.

In the quarterfinal clash, PV Sindhu will play against fourth seed Beiwen Zhang of USA.

Kidambi Srikanth registered an equally comprehensive victory, beating Su Li Yang of Chinese Taipei by 21-10, 21-17 in a second-round match in Court 3 at the Quay Centre in the BWF World Tour Super 500 event.

On the other frame, sixth seed HS Prannoy fought back heavily to cruise past Chinese Taipei's Yu Jen Chi by 21-19 21-19 21-13.

Rising Indian shuttler Priyanshu Rajawat also secured his spot in the quarterfinals after beating Chinese Taipei's Tzu Wei Wang by 21-8 13-21 21-19 in a thrilling contest.

In men's singles quarter-finals, sixth-seeded Prannoy will take on top seed Anthony Sinisuka Ginting of Indonesia, while Srikanth will face compatriot Rajawat. Srikanth and Rajawat could meet Prannoy in the semifinal if the latter wins his match.
