Premier League to Keep Profit and Sustainability Rules for Next Season Amid Vote Change Discussions.

The Premier League has decided to keep its current profit and sustainability rules intact for the upcoming season.

Despite unanimous agreement among clubs to change the rules during a recent meeting, the Premier League has decided to maintain the current profit and sustainability regulations for the next season.

Currently, clubs are restricted from reporting losses exceeding £105 million over a three-year period.

A vote on transitioning to a model similar to UEFA's, which links squad spending to revenue and player sales, is scheduled for June. However, since the details of this new model are still being ironed out, the existing system will remain in effect.

Both Everton and Nottingham Forest have faced point deductions for violating these rules.

Everton received an eight-point deduction in total, while Forest was docked four points.
