With just over a month until the Summer Olympics and Paralympics in Paris, there is growing concern about the potential impact of extreme heat on the games.

Parts of Europe have already seen temperatures soar past 40°C, raising concerns that heatwaves could hit other regions, including Paris, in the coming months. 

On Tuesday, Lord Coe, President of World Athletics, highlighted this issue in a report, stating that "climate change should increasingly be viewed as an existential threat to sport."

The intense heat could significantly impact the events, affecting competitors, spectators, and officials alike, and posing challenges to the smooth running of the games.
