Klopp Clarifies Stance on England Manager Role.

Jurgen Klopp, the former Liverpool manager, has said that accepting the England job would be “the biggest loss of face in football history.”

Since Gareth Southgate stepped down after England’s Euro 2024 final loss to Spain, Jurgen Klopp has been mentioned as a potential candidate for the England job.

Klopp, 57, left Liverpool at the end of last season, citing burnout after nine years with the club, where he won numerous trophies including the Premier League and Champions League.

At the International Coaches' Congress in Wurzburg, Germany, Klopp denied any current job offers and stated that taking the England role would be “the biggest loss of face in football history.”

Meanwhile, Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe, also rumored for the England position, confirmed he has had no contact from the Football Association and remains fully committed to his club.
