Kildunne and Jones Named to GB Olympic Rugby Sevens Squad.

Great Britain has selected England players Ellie Kildunne and Megan Jones for their 12-member women's rugby sevens squad for the Paris Olympic Games this summer.

Ellie Kildunne and Megan Jones have been named in Great Britain's 12-member women's rugby sevens squad for the Paris Olympics. Both backs played key roles in England's Six Nations Grand Slam win in April before joining the sevens team for Olympic preparation.

Kildunne, 24, was the top try-scorer in the Six Nations. She previously attended a GB Sevens camp before the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 but withdrew to pursue a professional XVs contract.

Wales winger Jasmine Joyce, 28, is also included, making her the first British rugby player to compete in three Olympic Games. She was a key player for Team GB in Rio and Tokyo, where they narrowly missed bronze medals.

Regular captain Abbie Brown aimed for her third Olympics but is out due to injury. Emma Uren and Megan Jones, both Tokyo Olympians, are back for their second Games.

The squad also includes Amy Wilson Hardy, Ellie Boatman, Grace Crompton, Heather Cowell, Isla Norman-Bell, Jade Shekells, Lisa Thomson, and Lauren Torley, all of whom have played representative rugby for England.
