Serious concerns about the hospital care provided to former Arsenal and Everton footballer Kevin Campbell have been raised by a health trust, as revealed in an inquest.
Mr. Kevin Campbell, aged 54, tragically passed away at Manchester Royal Infirmary (MRI) on June 15th, following his admission a month prior.
During the inquest, Coroner Zak Golombek highlighted that Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, overseeing the hospital, had classified aspects of Mr. Campbell's care as a Level 5 patient safety incident, indicating the most severe level of concern.
The provisional cause of death attributed to Mr. Campbell was multi-organ failure stemming from a heart infection, raising significant questions about the circumstances and care leading up to his passing.
