India comfortably sealed their spot in the quarter-finals of the Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships after sensational wins from star shuttlers P V Sindhu and H S Prannoy.
P V Sindhu and H S Prannoy claimed victory in their respective singles matches and guided their team to the top of the group after defeating Malaysia in their final Group B match in Dubai.
H S Prannoy made a winning start for India in their final Group B match after smashing out Zii Jia Lee by 18-21 21-13 25-23 in the men's singles.
Later, star shuttler P V Sindhu extended the lead by 2-0 by defeating low-ranked Ling Ching Wong by 21-13 21-17 in the women's singles.
India's badminton duo, Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand took the lead to 3-1 by cruising past Pearly Tan and Thinaah Muralitharantoby 23-21 21-15.
