India claimed 5-0 win against Kazakhstan at the Asia Mixed Team Badminton Championships.

India has comfortably scripted a clean 5-0 sweep against Kazakhstan in their opening tie of Group B at the Asia Mixed Team Badminton Championships.

The mixed doubles pair of Ishaan Bhatnagar and Tanisha Crasto gave India a 1-0 lead with a 21-5, 21-11 win over Makhsut Tadzhibullaev and Nargiza Rakhmetullayeva.

Later, H S Prannoy extended the lead by 2-0 after smashing out Dmitriy Panarin by 21-9, 21-11 in men's singles.

Then, star shuttler P V Sindhu claimed victory over Kamila Smagulova by 21-4, 21-12, and give India a 3-0 lead in the tie.

In the men's doubles match, India's Krishna Prasad Garga and Vishnuvardhan Goud Panjala cruised past their opponents, Khaitmurat Kulmatov and Artur Niyazov. The Indians won the match by 21-10, 21-6.

India's best-ranked women's doubles pair, Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand took the court for the final tie and ensured a 
5-0 clean sweep win, beating the Kazakh team of Nargiza Rakhmetullayeva and Aisha Zhumabek by a 21-5, 21-7 scoreline.

India's next tie will be against hosts UAE on Wednesday and will go up against Malaysia for the final tie on Thursday.
