Hodgkinson Advances to 800m Final, Defending Championship Title in Sight.

Keely Hodgkinson, the defending champion, breezed through the fastest women's 800m semi-final in European Athletics Championships history, securing her spot in Wednesday evening's final in Rome.

Keely Hodgkinson, who has won silver at the World Championships and Tokyo Olympics, secured her spot in the final by clocking a fast 1:58.07 in the European Athletics Championships. However, her teammates Erin Wallace and Alex Bell didn't make it to the final.

Hodgkinson mentioned it was early for her to race again within 24 hours but felt comfortable with her pace. She also mentioned that some competitors achieved personal bests, showing the competitiveness of the event.

In the women's 4x100m relay, the British team advanced comfortably, while the men's team finished last in their heat, missing the final.

Richard Kilty expressed disappointment, feeling that something went wrong with their performance despite their potential to win.
