FIA President Urges Andretti to Purchase an F1 Team.

The president of Formula 1's governing body advises Andretti to acquire an established team rather than starting their own to join the competition.

Andretti's plan to join F1 in 2025 or 2026 was turned down by Liberty Media, the commercial rights holders, though they might be considered for entry in 2028.

FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem, who initially supported Andretti's bid, emphasizes the importance of quality over quantity in new teams.

Ben Sulayem advises Andretti to purchase an existing team instead of being the 11th team. He believes it's better to have 10 strong teams than 11 with weaker ones.

While he didn't specify which teams should be sold, Alpine and Haas are potential candidates. However, sources suggest neither Renault nor Gene Haas are keen on selling their teams.
