Eddie Jones Praises Borthwick's Performance with England.

New Japan head coach Eddie Jones has commended Steve Borthwick's leadership of the England team, noting that he is "doing a great job" in his role.

Jones, aged 64, was dismissed by England nine months before last year's Rugby World Cup and succeeded by Steve Borthwick. Borthwick, who previously worked with Jones during his first tenure with Japan and at England, has received praise from Jones for his performance.

England is set to play against Japan in Tokyo on Saturday, marking Jones' return to coaching the Japanese team after stepping down as Australia's coach in October.

Speaking about Borthwick, Jones remarked, "England is a high-pressure role, subject to intense scrutiny worldwide. For someone relatively young, he's doing an excellent job."

Despite a challenging start with England, including a disappointing Six Nations and losses in World Cup warm-up games, Borthwick's team secured a third-place finish in the World Cup and impressed with a victory over Ireland in this year's Six Nations. This success positions England well for their upcoming summer tour of Japan and New Zealand.

Jones acknowledged Borthwick's ability to handle the scrutiny, stating, "He's managed that pressure admirably."
