Dobson Secures 400m Silver, Caudery Takes Bronze in Pole Vault.

Charlie Dobson earned his first major individual medal by winning silver in the 400m at the European Athletics Championships. Meanwhile, his teammate Molly Caudery claimed bronze in the pole vault event in Rome.

At 24, Charlie Dobson set a new personal best with a stunning 44.38 seconds in the 400m final, earning him a silver medal. However, he couldn't outpace Belgium's Alexander Doom, who won gold with a championship record of 44.15 seconds.

Molly Caudery, the gold medal favorite and reigning world indoor champion, managed a second-time clearance at 4.73m in the pole vault. Despite her efforts, she settled for bronze as Switzerland's Angelica Moser clinched a surprise victory by clearing 4.78m.

These medals increased Great Britain's tally to nine, following golds from Dina Asher-Smith and the women's half marathon team on Sunday.

In Monday's evening session, Laviai Nielsen set a personal best of 50.71 seconds, finishing sixth in the women's 400m final. Ireland's Rhasidat Adeleke took silver with 49.07 seconds, while Poland's Natalia Kaczmarek won gold in 48.98 seconds.

Anna Purchase achieved a best throw of 69.24m, finishing eighth in the women's hammer final. Italy's Sara Fantini secured the host nation's eighth gold.

Mark Pearce finished 13th in the men's 3,000m steeplechase final with a time of 8:26.92. The race was won by France's Alexis Miellet in 8:14.01.

Daryll Neita easily won her women's 200m semi-final, securing her spot in Tuesday night's final with a time of 22.51 seconds.

The men's 200m final saw Swiss athlete Timothe Mumenthaler win in 20.28 seconds.
