Behind the Scenes and Battle Masks: Richards Shares Insights as a 5v5 Fighter.

Light-heavyweight Craig Richards is set to represent Matchroom Boxing, led by Eddie Hearn, in a five-versus-five event against Willy Hutchinson from Queensberry Promotions, under Frank Warren.

Their showdown is scheduled to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this Saturday.

When Eddie Hearn called me about being on this card, I immediately said yes, even before knowing who I would be facing. It all seemed too good to be true, so I didn't want to get my hopes up until it was confirmed.

Before I knew it, I found myself in Bulgaria, shooting a promo video styled like a blockbuster movie trailer. In the video, I play a boxing gym cleaner who stands up to a disrespectful fighter, as Eddie describes it.

I've developed a bit of a flair for acting now, jokingly saying I've been getting messages from Denzel Washington about starring in his next film. I told him I have a big fight coming up, so I'll get back to him later.

But on a serious note, what excites me about this five-versus-five event is the chance to try new things, like being on a film set, doing rehearsals, and changing costumes.

It's something I never thought I'd experience in my career. Even though I've been on many big shows in the UK, this is a whole new level of excitement.
