Wolves Complete Signing of Gomes from Braga.

Wolves have finalized the signing of Rodrigo Gomes from Braga in a transfer valued at £12.7 million.

Rodrigo Gomes has signed a contract until 2029 with a one-year option, following the successful completion of his medical on Tuesday.

Manager Gary O'Neil expressed his delight, particularly at securing the signing early in the transfer window. He emphasized Gomes's versatility and strong performances last season, highlighting his youth and potential as a perfect fit for the club's plans.

Gomes is the second summer signing for Wolves, following Tommy Doyle's permanent move from Manchester City.

O'Neil is confident that Gomes can develop and prove himself in the Premier League with the club's support.

"I'm excited to work with Rodrigo; he's a fantastic character. Every time I've seen him play, his passion and determination have stood out, so I'm thrilled with his signing," said the manager.

Portugal Under-21 international Gomes had a successful loan spell at Estoril last season, featuring in 30 games and scoring seven goals. He made his debut for Braga in 2020 and has appeared in 43 matches, scoring once.

Sporting director Matt Hobbs added, "We've been monitoring Rodrigo for most of the season since his loan began. We know him very well and have put in a lot of effort to secure his signing. It's been a smooth process because Rodrigo was keen to join us and is excited about the opportunity."
