UFC Icon Johnson Bids Farewell with a Champion's Heart.

Demetrious Johnson, the former UFC flyweight champion, has announced his retirement from mixed martial arts at 38 years old.

Demetrious Johnson, widely regarded as one of the greatest MMA fighters ever and the top flyweight in the sport, has retired. 

Known as 'Mighty Mouse,' Johnson was the first UFC flyweight champion and defended his title 11 times from 2012 to 2017.

He lost the UFC belt in 2018 but continued his success by holding the flyweight title in ONE Championship for two more years. 

Johnson announced his retirement at ONE 168 in Denver on Friday.
