Wales' Summer Plans: Morgan's Return Overshadows Beard's Absence.

Lock Adam Beard won't be joining Wales for their summer matches due to an ankle injury, but fans can look forward to World Cup captain Jac Morgan's return to action this weekend.

Wales is gearing up for an exciting summer of rugby, starting with a match against South Africa on 22 June at Twickenham, followed by a trip to Australia for two Tests in Sydney and Melbourne, along with a game against Queensland Reds in Brisbane.

Unfortunately, 28-year-old lock Adam Beard won't be part of the action due to an ankle injury sustained during the Ospreys' match against the Bulls on 27 April.

Ospreys head coach Toby Booth mentioned that Beard's injury is significant, and it's unlikely he'll play for the rest of the season or join the summer tour.

Booth explained, "You have to get to a certain point before we can give exact timings but we are looking at months rather than weeks. I would have thought we would be looking at pre-season for us and in hindsight sometimes for a player that is a good thing."

Despite Beard's absence, fans can still anticipate an exciting lineup as British and Irish Lions lock Beard has been a key player for Warren Gatland's Wales team, boasting 56 caps and contributing significantly during the 2023 World Cup and this year's Six Nations.
