Unexpected Departure: Robyn Steps Down as FIA Chief Executive After 18 Months.

Natalie Robyn recently resigned from her role as the chief executive officer of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), the governing body for motorsport, after serving for only 18 months.

The FIA recently announced that Natalie Robyn will be leaving her position "by mutual agreement to pursue opportunities outside of the FIA."

She will officially step down at the end of May.

Robyn's departure marks the fourth senior executive to leave the FIA since December of last year, following the resignations of Steve Nielsen, Tim Goss, and Deborah Mayer.

This move comes amidst a series of controversies involving FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem.

In March, the FIA's ethics committee cleared Ben Sulayem of accusations related to race interference in Saudi Arabia and Las Vegas last season, citing a lack of evidence to support the claims.

Additionally, Ben Sulayem and the FIA are currently involved in a legal battle with Susie Wolff, director of the F1 Academy for female drivers and wife of Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff.
