Taveras Withdraws from UFC 304, Leaving Loughran Without an Opponent.

Ramon Taveras has withdrawn from his bantamweight fight against Caolan Loughran at UFC 304 in Manchester due to an injury.

Ireland's Caolan Loughran, 28, who holds a 1-1 UFC record, was scheduled to fight American Ramon Taveras on the preliminary card at UFC 304 on July 27 at Manchester's Co-op Live Arena.

However, Taveras, 30, has pulled out due to a serious injury, though he has not revealed details about the injury.

Taveras shared his disappointment on Instagram, saying, "Today I had to withdraw from my fight next Saturday due to a serious injury. I worked so hard this fight camp, and it sucks that it came to this."

UFC 304 will feature Leon Edwards defending his welterweight title against Belal Muhammad in the main event, with Tom Aspinall defending his interim heavyweight championship against Curtis Blaydes in the co-main event.

The event, aimed at a U.S. audience, will be the first sporting event at the 23,000-seat Co-op Live Arena.
