Sutton Returns to Steelers Following Lions Release.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have officially inked a one-year deal with Cameron Sutton, a former cornerback for the Detroit Lions.

The 29-year-old Cameron Sutton returns to the Pittsburgh Steelers after his release from the Detroit Lions in March.

This decision came after Florida police sought him regarding domestic violence allegations, which led Sutton to enter a pretrial diversion program in April, with charges reduced to misdemeanour battery.

Pittsburgh initially drafted Sutton in the third round of the 2017 NFL draft. He played with the Steelers from 2017 to 2022 before joining the Lions on a three-year, $33 million deal.

During his time with the Lions last season, Sutton started all 17 regular-season games, tallying 65 tackles, an interception, one forced fumble, and defended six passes, in addition to playing three playoff games.
