Suryakumar Yadav Attributes Incredible Match-Defining Catch in T20 World Cup Final to 'God's Plan'.

Suryakumar Yadav reflected on his remarkable catch in the T20 World Cup final against South Africa, hailed universally for its display of athleticism, balance, and game-changing awareness.

In a short phone call with PTI, Suryakumar Yadav remained humble about his contribution to India's championship win. Rohit Sharma's team clinched victory over a tough South African side by seven runs in the final in Bridgetown, Barbados.

"I'm thankful to have been in that moment and to have made a special contribution for the country; it was all part of God's plan," Suryakumar said when asked about his standout catch from the match.

In the crucial final over, with South Africa needing 16 runs, David Miller faced Hardik Pandya's delivery, hitting a wide full toss.

Suryakumar Yadav positioned himself near the boundary, managed to catch the ball while balancing on the ropes, released it before crossing over, and then returned inside to complete a stunning catch.

Suryakumar Yadav's incredible catch in the T20 World Cup final brought back memories for many fans, akin to Kapil Dev's legendary catch in the 1983 World Cup final against West Indies.

Just like Kapil's iconic grab off Viv Richards, Suryakumar's agile effort in Bridgetown ensured his name would be cherished among Indian fans.

Earlier in the match, with 30 runs needed from 30 balls, South Africa faltered, led by Hardik Pandya's crucial wicket of Heinrich Klaasen, who was set on 52.
