Sexual Assault Charges Against Prescott Dropped.

A sexual assault lawsuit against Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has been dismissed.

In March, a woman filed a criminal complaint against Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, alleging he sexually assaulted her in a car park at a Dallas strip club in February 2017.

In May, the Dallas Police Department announced they would not pursue criminal charges due to a lack of evidence.

The accuser's attorneys initially dropped the suit in Dallas County and refiled it in Collin County, Texas.

Prescott has responded by filing an extortion lawsuit in Collin County, claiming that the accuser and her attorneys demanded $100 million in January before the original criminal complaint.

Collin County Judge Angela Tucker has scheduled a hearing for September 13 to determine if the accuser should face sanctions for the damage caused to Prescott by the allegations.

"Despite the accuser and her legal team's relentless efforts to extort money and damage Dak's reputation, justice has consistently prevailed and will continue to do so," said Prescott's attorney, Levi G. McCathern. "These ploys distract from the trauma of legitimate sexual assault survivors and undermine the progress our society has made in supporting them."
