Patriots Set to Retire Tom Brady's Iconic #12 Jersey.

The New England Patriots will retire Tom Brady's iconic number 12 jersey and erect a statue in honor of their legendary former quarterback.

The New England Patriots announced they will retire Tom Brady's number 12 jersey and build a statue of the legendary quarterback. This announcement was made during Brady's induction into the Patriots Hall of Fame.

Drafted 199th overall in 2000, Brady led the Patriots to six Super Bowl victories. "The statue will stand alone in the plaza outside the Hall of Fame to symbolize his status as the greatest in NFL history," said Patriots owner Robert Kraft.

Brady joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020, winning the Super Bowl and earning MVP honors in his first season. He retired in 2022 but returned six weeks later for one final season.

"I am eternally grateful. I am Tom Brady. And I am a Patriot," Brady said at the ceremony.

Brady spent his career with former Patriots coach Bill Belichick, cementing his legacy in NFL history.
