Neeraj Chopra from India has his eyes set on joining the prestigious 90-meter club in javelin throwing. However, his coach shared with Reuters that Neeraj would be content with a shorter throw in Paris if it secures his hold on the Olympic title.

Three years ago, Neeraj Chopra became an instant star by throwing 87.58 meters in Tokyo, winning independent India's first Olympic gold medal in athletics.

Since then, the 26-year-old has become a world champion and achieved a personal best distance of 89.94 meters at the Stockholm Diamond League in 2022.

Neeraj Chopra is consistently questioned about reaching the 90-meter mark in nearly every media interaction. However, his coach Klaus Bartonietz emphasized that defending his Olympic title remains Neeraj's top priority above all else.
