Lowry Tops the Leaderboard at Royal Troon Open, Ahead of Rose and Brown.

Shane Lowry birdied the final hole to set the clubhouse lead at seven under par on a windy second day of the Open Championship at Royal Troon.

Shane Lowry made a 20-foot birdie on the last hole to finish the second day of the Open Championship at Royal Troon with a seven-under-par score. He followed his first-round 66 with a two-under 69, despite 30mph winds.

Lowry expressed his satisfaction, noting, "Shooting in the 60s is impressive on this course, even in these conditions."

The English duo trailing Lowry includes Dan Brown, who followed his six-under opening round with a solid 72, and Justin Rose, who made a 30-footer on the 18th for a 68, moving to five under.

They lead by three shots over world number one Scottie Scheffler, who scored a 70 to join Billy Horschel (68) and Dean Burmester (69) at two under par.
