Hayes Reflects on 'Hardest-Fought' WSL Triumph with Chelsea.

Emma Hayes remarked that securing Chelsea's fifth consecutive Women's Super League title has proven to be the most challenging one yet.

An impressive 6-0 win against Manchester United on the season's last day secured their triumph over Manchester City by goal difference.

Emma Hayes, at 47, wrapped up her tenure as Chelsea's manager with her seventh Women's Super League (WSL) title in 12 years. Speaking to Sky Sports, she described this victory as the most challenging yet also the most rewarding: "I can't say it's been my most enjoyable, but it's certainly been the toughest, without a doubt, and that's why it feels the sweetest." She expressed immense relief that the season had concluded, emphasizing the difficulty of maintaining focus for five consecutive titles while also building for the future.

Her next role will be managing the United States women's team for the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris. Alongside her seven league titles, Hayes has also secured five FA Cups, two League Cups, and a Community Shield during her time with Chelsea.

Reflecting on her journey with the club, Hayes shared with BBC Sport: "I don't think I can put it into words. I'm experiencing a whirlwind of emotions."
