Hardy’s Late Try Secures Wales’ Victory Over the Reds.

In a thrilling match in Brisbane, Wales' substitute scrum-half Kieran Hardy scored a decisive try in the 79th minute, securing a crucial win for Warren Gatland’s team in an 11-try clash against the Queensland Reds.

Wales, missing captain Cory Hill, took a 31-14 lead with tries from Regan Grace, Archie Griffin, Rio Dyer, Christ Tshiunza, and Nick Tompkins.

The Queensland Reds fought back with a hat-trick from hooker Richie Asiata and two tries from wing Mac Grealy, briefly taking the lead.

Kieran Hardy's last-minute try secured Wales' first win since defeating the Barbarians in November 2023. With nine consecutive losses behind them, Wales will aim to avoid a record-equalling 10th defeat against Fiji in Cardiff this November.

This year has been tough for Wales, who are currently 11th in the world rankings, finished last in the Six Nations for the first time in 21 years, and lost 2-0 in their Test series against Australia.
