France Secures Hosting Rights for 2030 Winter Olympics and Paralympics.

France is set to host the 2030 Winter Olympics and Paralympics, marking a major milestone for the country.

With this provisional selection, France is gearing up to showcase its winter sports prowess on a grand stage, promising an exciting and vibrant Games.

The French Alps bid, favored by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in June, has been approved pending financial guarantees from France. Due to recent elections, the French government hasn't yet secured these guarantees.

President Emmanuel Macron, who will not appoint a new government until after the Paris 2024 Olympics, assured the IOC of France's commitment. He promised that the next prime minister will prioritize these guarantees and an Olympic law, just as they did for Paris 2024.

For the 2030 Games, events will be held in the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes and Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur regions.
