Former Athlete Packer Pursues Coaching Badges with a Passion for Giving Back.

Marlie Packer, the captain of England's rugby team, is working on earning additional coaching badges as a way to contribute back to rugby once she wraps up her playing career.

During this year's successful Six Nations campaign, Marlie Packer, aged 34, marked her 100th cap, making her the sixth Englishwoman to achieve this milestone. She recently visited her hometown rugby club in Yeovil, Somerset, where she helped lead a coaching session.

"I'm currently working towards my level three coaching award. I've held my level two for quite some time," she mentioned in an interview with BBC Radio Somerset. "Rugby has given me so much – not just shaping who I am today but also providing opportunities to travel the world and make friends globally."

Packer's contributions were vital to the Red Roses' Grand Slam victory, scoring three tries in the tournament and securing their sixth consecutive title.

While she isn't thinking about retirement yet, Packer is laying the groundwork for rugby to remain a part of her future, aiming to give back to the sport that has enriched her life in numerous ways.
