Ferrari's Latest Coup: D’Ambrosio and Serra Join from Mercedes.

Ferrari has pulled off a major coup by securing the services of two top talents from Mercedes.

Former Formula 1 driver Jerome d’Ambrosio has taken up the role of Ferrari’s deputy team principal, while engineer Loic Serra is now the head of chassis performance engineering.

D’Ambrosio previously advised Mercedes, gaining experience under Toto Wolff, who was preparing him for a leadership position.

Meanwhile, Serra was Mercedes’ performance director, but he now reports to technical director Enrico Cardile at Ferrari, overseeing track engineering, aerodynamic development, operations, and vehicle performance.

These appointments are part of a broader restructuring led by team principal Frederic Vasseur, aimed at restoring Ferrari to championship contention.

Adding to the buzz, Lewis Hamilton is set to join Ferrari in 2025, having signed earlier, and the team is also pursuing design guru Adrian Newey, who recently left Red Bull.
