Ex-World Champion Greene Announces Retirement from Competition.

Dai Greene, former world, European, and Commonwealth 400m hurdles champion, has retired from competitive athletics at 38.

The Welshman, who has already taken on a mentoring role for fellow athletes, is now looking towards coaching as his next step.

Dai Greene’s career was marked by significant achievements in both the 400m hurdles and 400m, with the Olympic title being the only major accolade he didn’t secure.

His crowning achievement came with a gold medal in the 400m hurdles at the 2011 World Championships in Daegu.

Greene also played a key role in helping Great Britain win silver in the 4x400m relay at the Berlin World Championships two years prior.
