Diver Tom Daley and rower Helen Glover have been selected as Great Britain's flagbearers for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Their choice highlights a perfect blend of diving precision and rowing endurance, setting an inspiring tone for Team GB as they prepare to dazzle at the opening ceremony.

Tom Daley, a four-time Olympic medallist, will compete in his fifth Games after finally securing gold in Tokyo 2020 in the men’s 10m synchro. "I am extremely proud. Being a flagbearer is a dream come true," Daley shared with BBC Sport.

Helen Glover, a two-time Olympic champion, is set for her fourth Games and described carrying the British flag as "the biggest honour of my life."

The Paris 2024 opening ceremony will unfold on the River Seine on Friday, July 26, with about 10,500 athletes from around the world traveling a six-kilometer route on boats along the river.
