Sterling Reflects on Missing the Joy of Playing for England.

Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling shared that he misses representing England, calling it "one of the best feelings you can ever have."

Raheem Sterling, now 29, hasn't donned an England jersey since the 2022 World Cup, where he had to return home mid-tournament due to a family emergency in Qatar.

Since then, Sterling has been absent from several national squads, including the Euro 2024 lineup, as former manager Gareth Southgate chose not to include him.

Southgate's tenure ended with a defeat against Spain in the final, and while the Football Association is still searching for a new manager, Under-21 boss Lee Carsley is set to step in temporarily for the upcoming Nations League matches in September.

Sterling's longing to return highlights a deep connection to representing his country, making the upcoming national team changes all the more intriguing.
