In a stunning display of skill, Mark Allen started off strong by scoring three centuries in the initial three frames, setting the stage for an outstanding 6-3 victory over Mark Williams during the opening round of the Players Championship held in Telford.

The Northern Irish player kicked off the game with his fifth ever 146 break, showcasing his prowess from the start. He then continued his impressive streak with scores of 112 and 102. 

Despite a strong comeback effort from Williams, narrowing the gap to 3-2 and 4-3 with breaks of 71 and 69, Allen maintained his dominance.

With further runs of 94, 70, and 68, Allen sealed a commanding victory. Despite Williams' resilience, Allen's early lead proved insurmountable as he controlled the game, securing his triumph in a match marked by high-quality play.
