Wales' Speedster Aims for Medals and Memories in Paris.

Jeremiah Azu finds deep meaning in the Biblical quote, "The fastest runner doesn't always win the race" (Ecclesiastes 9:11). As he prepares for Paris, this verse resonates profoundly with him, serving as both inspiration and reminder.

Jeremiah Azu is no slow runner—he’s the first Welshman to complete 100 meters in under 10 seconds. At 23, he clocked 9.97 seconds in May, placing him among the top 10 in British history.

After finishing second at the UK Athletics Championships, he’s earned his spot at the Paris Olympics and is excited about it.

“It’s my first senior global championships, so I’m really looking forward to it,” Azu said. “I hope to create lasting memories and achieve something meaningful.”
