Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Shericka Jackson has been shortlisted for World Athletics' Women's Athlete of the Year award.

Jamaican sprinters Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Shericka Jackson and Nigerian Tobi Amusan has been shortlisted for the World Athletics' Women's Athlete of the Year award.

World Athletics is pleased to confirm a list of 10 nominees for Women's World Athlete of the Year. These athletes were selected by an international panel of athletics experts, comprising representatives from all six continental areas of World Athletics.

The nominees for 2022 Women's World Athlete of the Year are: Tobi Amusan (NGR), Chase Ealey (USA), Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce (JAM), Kimberly Garcia (PER), Shericka Jackson (JAM), Faith Kipyegon (KEN), Yaroslava Mahuchikh (UKR), Sydney McLaughlin (USA), Shaunae Miller-Uibo (BAH) and Yulimar Rojas (VEN).

A three-way voting process will determine the finalists. 50 per cent of the votes will be determined by the World Athletics Council, 25 per cent for World Athletics Family and the public will determine 25 per cent of the final result, with voting set to close on Monday 31 October.
