RFU's Proposal: Exploring Twickenham Sale for 50% Stake in Wembley.

The Rugby Football Union (RFU) recently pondered the idea of parting ways with Twickenham while eyeing a significant investment in Wembley Stadium, revealed through a document obtained by the BBC.

The Twickenham Stadium Masterplan Programme (TSMP) recently unveiled that the RFU board deliberated on the proposal in March of the previous year, although no formal communication was initiated with the Football Association (FA).

Opting for a different path, the RFU will now direct its attention towards the revitalization of Twickenham, a historic venue that has served as England's home ground since 1909.

In a statement, the RFU underscored, "Previous evaluations exploring the feasibility of relocating to different sites have been dismissed."
