India’s Praveen Kumar impressed with a record-breaking jump in the men’s T64 high jump, clinching gold at the Paris Paralympics. He added this win to his Tokyo Games silver medal.
The 21-year-old from Noida, born with a shorter leg, set a new Asian record with a 2.08m jump to win gold in the six-jumper T64 high jump event.
USA’s Derek Loccident took silver with a 2.06m jump, and Uzbekistan’s Temurbek Giyazov secured bronze with a personal best of 2.03m.
